Dr. Don S. Massey, Ph.D., Registered Psychologist

Dr. Don Massey is a clinical psychologist, neuropsychologist, and educator with more than 35 years of experience with a broad educational and employment background. He is a member of a number of notable professional organizations, including the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Canadian Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association, the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology.

In addition, he holds Diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology, the American Board of Forensic Examiners, the American Board of Forensic Medicine, the American Board of Psychological Specialities in Forensic Neuropsychology, the American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology, and the American Board of Disability Analysts.

His Ph.D. research in pediatric neuropsychology involved an examination of outcome measures for children with premature birth histories. Other areas of clinical interest include cross-cultural neuropsychological assessment (including BIPOC and other diverse communities) and third party medical-legal neuropsychology.

Dr. Massey is an Adjunct Professor in the University of Alberta’s Department of Educational Psychology, where he lectures and supervises graduate students in neuropsychology and psychological assessment.

Dr. Massey has also been granted Expert Witness status in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology at the Family and Youth Court, Court of King’s Bench, and Criminal Court levels.

Dr. Valerie J. Massey, Ph.D., Registered Psychologist

B.Ed., M.Ed., Ph.D., C. Psych., DABFE, DABPS, ABDA

Dr. Valerie Massey is a clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist with more than 30 years experience in clinical psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational assessment, as well as school-based intervention and consultation.

Dr. Massey is a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, the Canadian Association of School Psychologists, the Canadian Psychologists’ Association, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. She also holds Diplomate status with the American Board of Psychological Specialities in Forensic Neuropsychology and the American Board of Disability Analysts.

Dr. Massey completed an interdisciplinary doctorate in the Departments of Elementary Education and Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta, specializing in the assessment and diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in children, adolescents, and adults.
Her other clinical interests include forensic assessments and the impact of complex neurodevelopmental issues on justice and legal issues.

Dr. Massey has presented and given instructional workshops at provincial, national, and international conferences, including province-wide training workshops on children and adults with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder for the Alberta Drug and Alcohol Commission (AADAC) and for other community-based and government groups. She is a member of the Capital Health Care Authority’s Committee on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and is also a member of the Alberta Medical Association’s FAS Practice Guidelines Review and FAS training committees.

Dr. Massey is an adjunct professor in the University of Alberta’s Department of Educational Psychology, where she instructs and provides clinical supervision for graduate students in psychology.

She has been granted Expert Witness status in Clinical and Consulting Psychology at the Family and Youth Court, the Court of King’s Bench, and Criminal Court levels.

Dr. Srishti Nigam, MD.

M.B., B.S., F.R.C.P. (C), D.T. M&H

Dr. Nigam is a general physician and generalist in mental health. She specializes ininsight-oriented dynamic psychotherapy for individuals and groups. She also works extensively with chronic pain therapy and utilizes many body-mind techniques in her practice.

Morgan Stevenson

B.Sc., M.C.

Morgan is a Registered Psychologist with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge, a Graduate Diploma in Psychological Assessment from Concordia University of Edmonton, and a Masters of Counseling from Athabasca University.

Ms. Stevenson specializes in psychological and psycho-educational assessments. She integrates her knowledge to adopt a strength-based approach for her clients. She provides realistic, evidence-based recommendations that can be understood by individuals, parents, teachers, and other professionals to help individuals reach their goals and improve the quality of their lives.

Ashleigh V. Massey

B.A., M.A., Gr. Dip.

Ashleigh is a psychometrist with more than 10 years of experience in the field. She has a background in English from the University of Alberta, a Graduate Diploma in Psychological Assessment from Concordia University in Edmonton, and is currently working towards her Masters in Counseling at City University.

Ms. Massey is passionate about cross-cultural issues in psychological assessment and counseling with a focus on BIPOC individuals, the amplification of minority voices, and the recognition of lived experiences in resiliency.
